 ACS Hiring Practices:

ACS Pre-Screening Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must complete an employment application.
- Must show proof of legal right to work in the United States.
- Must pass the interview process.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
ACS Training Requirements:
Prior to ACS officer’s standing a post, an 8 hours Powers to Arrest Test (with lecture and situational exercises) must be completed. An additional 32 hours of training is required within a given time frame set forth by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). The officer can work only when he/she have in their possession a hard copy printout of the Bureau’s approval obtained from the bureau’s web site and a valid photo identification or a valid Security Guard registration. ACS employees will receive additional (Maritime Training), for the marine terminals, and site specific (Safety Training) that is required for all client sites.
