American Corporate Security, Inc. (ACS) is committed to protecting the security and privacy of our customers, employees and individuals applying for employment through our website.   This Privacy Statement applies to the online collection of information through the ACS websites owned and  operated by ACS.  Our websites may contain links to websites maintained by others.  This Privacy Policy does not extend to the collection of personal information by any such site.

The information collected by this site is only used by and for conducting the business of ACS.  The information collected on this website is only provided to third parties when required for a legitimate business purpose.  ACS does not sell rent or lease any information collected on this site to third parties. 

What information is collected on our site?

When you visit an ACS website, the site may track information about your visit and store that information in our web server logs.  The ACS web server logs maintain a record of all activities that occur on our site.  Our servers automatically collect, capture and save information electronically from computers that connect to our site.   The information collected includes but is not limited to:

  • The date and time of your visit
  • Your unique internet protocol address
  • The name of your unique internet services provider
  • The browser your compute is using to access our site
  • Your user credentials
  • The pages viewed by the user on our web site.

 The information collected by our web server logs is intended to improve the user’s access to our site and to protect our website and its content from inappropriate use. 

User- Supplied Information:

In completing an on-line application, the applicant may be required to provide their name, contact information, employment history, educational history, criminal history, military services, driver’s license information, and personal references. The information provided in the on-line application is stored on our web server.  The information collected in the on-line application is used ACS to determine the applicant’s employment eligibility.  The information provided in the on-line application is only accessible by our Human Resources department and those involved in the hiring decision. 

None of the information provided in the on-line application is sold to any third parties.  The information provided in the on-line application is only shared with individuals engaged in making employment decisions which may include a background check through Lexisnexis  has its own privacy policy in place and takes steps to ensure the safety of the information provided. ACS’ privacy policy does not reflect the privacy policy of Lexisnexis.com or any other sites. 

Web Server Log Supplied Information:

If you are an employee logging into our web based servers the server will populate the web pages being used by the employee with your employee information. The web page will access our data servers to obtain your user information which may include your name, address, employee number.

This information is only accessible with a valid user name and password.  ACS has appropriate security and virus protection in place to prevent unauthorized access to the information stored and supplied by the Web Servers when a user logs into our system. 


Our web servers may send cookies to your browser.  These cookies are small pieces of data sent to your browser to store and track information about you.  These small pieces of data are stored on your computer.  These cookies allow our web server to save password and preferences for you so you will not have to reenter the information upon revisiting our web site. 

The use of cookies is standard in web browsing.  Most browsers are defaulted to accept cookies.  If you prefer not to accept cookies you can set your browser to either refuse to accept cookies or to notify you when you receive a cookie.  If you decide not to accept cookies some features of our website may not function properly.

How American Corporate Security, Inc. protects the personal information that is collected on its site?

ACS has ensured that information collected and saved on our web site is protected to ensure no unauthorized access to the information is permitted. 

All of the information stored on our servers and web server logs is stored with restricted access and appropriate monitoring. Our web servers have virus protection, intrusion detection software and monitoring software that is updated regularly.  However, despite these steps, ACS cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will always be unable to access our system by defeating the security and protection measures in place. 

Who has access to the personal information collected on this site?

The information collected by our site is only accessible by the Director of Information Technology and members of our management team.  We do not sell, rent or lease mailing lists of our customer or employee data to any third parties or any others.

ACS does rely on other companies to provide services necessary to run our business.  We require that all businesses that provide services to our company preserve the confidentiality of our customer and employee data.
